BiographyAfter graduating from the Art Institute of Chicago, Anderson went on to study at the Grand Central School of Art in New York with famed illustrators such as Harvey Dunn (1884-1952), Pruett Carter (1891-1955), and Walter Biggs (1886-1968). In 1929, Anderson began illustrating for several publishers to finance his studies, which included his early work for pulp magazines and comic strips. Throughout his career, his illustrations made their way into leading national magazines and advertisements for Pepsi, General Electric, World Airway and Procter & Gamble.
