BiographyHalus came to the United States in 1951 settling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From the age of 9 until he was 17, he apprenticed with his father, a liturgical sculptor. During his graduate studies at the Hartford Art School in Connecticut, Halus became interested in and committed to photography. By 1968 he had established himself as a renowned photographer in the Hartford area.
