Birth-PlaceNew York, NY
BiographyBorn in New York City, Stanley Fellman has been making black and white photographs for over sixty years. He attended Columbia College and New York University's College of Dentistry, but is self-taught as a photographer. His early work was heavily influenced by the people, culture and landscape of New York, but from 1957 until 1959, Fellman served in the military in Europe, which afforded him the opportunity to travel and see more of the world. His photographs from this period reflect the awe of a young American seeing Europe for the first time.Person Type(not assigned)
