Description"My Sister Alice" was painted in the artist's living room in his home in Boston. After hanging for some time in a gallery on Newbury Street, it ended up being too large to hang in the Ahlborn house "already full of pictures, so it was stored in our trunk room until 1954," when it was rediscovered and donated to the Museum. The use of deep jewel purples and blues, along with the fur coat give this painting a sumptuous quality.On View
