for As President of the School Board there are many responsibilities. Almost every issue has to be jaw-boned to death so all sides can state their views. One of the biggest problems is it takes 66 2/3 percent of the ballot to pass a school bond. The public has been taxed the the Federal and State Government and won't stand for another local tax...even for education. Our greatest asset is our youth, they must get a basic education. Our problem is there are two kinds of people, those who are interested in education and those who aren't. Tri-Valley Area, Northern California

for 13 podium: Being a broker is the old 'buy'em low, sell 'em high game. After the one o'clock bell, brokers have fifteen minutes to close their market orders. This is done by shouting your bids and positioning your hands. Palms out means sell, palms in means buy. I can assure you it's a fun game to win. San Fransisco, California, 1976

for When I started dirt bike racing there were hardly any spectators. It was for the love of the sport. Now thousands come hoping they will see a spectacular crash. Carnegie Park, Altamont Hills, Livermore, California, 1974

for Outdoor painters are a breed unto themselves. Painting in the sun with bugs, the wind and elements against you is a challenge. What is amazing is you can get the feel of the place you are painting. What can you say that is different from other painters, what colors or details come to your eyes, what can you see that is different. We know we are not long for the world, but we are ready to give it a try. Tri-Valley Area, Northern California
