DescriptionJuly 13-15, 1918"Finally, at the last it occurs to me that if we went to the Red Cross HQ, corner of Rue Royal and Place de la Concorde, which is the place where it is to end, dispersing in the Place there, we might, by inquiring for Thomas B. Wells, Editor of Harper's, now in the American Red Cross, get a place on one of their balconies. It did look like a long chance, for they were besieged with a great crowd bent on the same quest as we were. But our rank got us attention at once and a RC [Red Cross] officer, whose name I don't recall now, tho I should out of gradtitude, took us at once to a large balcony that was reserved for a few of their leaders, and we had a wonderful opportunity to see it from there.
We spent our time till it should appear making sketches of the setting for what was really a wonderful and truly inspiring parade, or procession of troops of all the Allies." pg. 44-45
