DescriptionContains 22 drawings. This small sketchbook was done between January and March, 1989. It includes work from his last weeks in Tokyo as well as time spent later in Bangkok. Pencil and pen and ink studies of day to day life in those cities are juxtaposed against abstract collages. Miller has spoken of his attempt to capture something of the texture and color of these locales by means other than a realistic representation. These ideas were elaborated further later the same year in a larger book, 2015.25.59.On View
