BiographyBorn in Bourg-en-Bresse, near Lyon, France, Pépin is an internationally recognized chef, television personality, teacher, author, and recipient of France's highest civilian honor, the French Legion of Honor. At the end of the 1980s and the start of the 1990s, he appeared on French and American T.V. and wrote an array of cookbooks that became immediate best-sellers. Pépin moved to the United States in 1959 and now lives in Madison, Connecticut with his wife, Gloria.
