Description“Calligraphic Dance”, completed in 2006, represents a slight variation on Grzyb’s earlier themes and methods. The surface is very textural as with his previous paintings, but the prominence given to the circular and zig zag calligraphic forms, in a riot of colors and many permutations, give the canvas a lively, exuberant quality. The warm reds contrast with the cooler purples and contribute to the dynamism of “Calligraphic Dance”.On View
