DescriptionBorn to working-class parents in Brooklyn, Leonard Freed originally aspired to be a painter but discovered a passion for photography while traveling in Europe his early 20s. Over subsequent decades, he went on to document subjects including the Jewish communities of Amsterdam, the New York City Police Department, and the American Civil Rights Movement. Photography was Freed’s way of exploring society. In this work, Freed turns his lens to a carefree moment in corporate America.
