DescriptionStep back and take in the magnificent aerial view of London after dark. Upon closer examination, the web of streetlights and highways dematerializes into a collage of familiar advertisements found in pop culture magazines such as Vogue and Glamour. The brightness of the city is revealed to consisted only of fragmented bits of consumer glitz and brand names. The recognizable icons and flashy products are not merely visual trickery in LO SE MON, they are foundational, omnipresent, and total. The title serves as an abbreviation for “Love, Sex, Money,” a cipher for that which Trinkaus believes makes the world go round.
