DescriptionRockwell's fame has grown over the decades, as his paintings remain as charming and as relevant as they were when they appeared on the covers of the Saturday Evening Post. In Easter he portrays the freckle-faced choirboy Tom Chappell, a neighbor from Stockbridge, Massachusetts, hurriedly struggling to tame his mop of hair-a common predicament that Rockwell captured so brilliantly. Rockwell successfully recorded the charming nuances of twentieth-century American life. Chappell has enjoyed a successful career in business as the founder, with his wife Kate Cheney Chappell, of Tom's of Maine, a manufacturer of toothpaste and other products. Tom's has been a pioneer in stressing the importance of maintaining a sound environment and pursuing high ethical standards.
